Welcome to the Tacoma clinic!
Ben Kevan, DPT, FAAOMPT
Clinic Manager/Physical Therapist
“The human body is truly amazing and the biomechanics and anatomy involved with activities and tasks we do on a daily basis are vital for how we live and function. I am indeed lucky and fortunate to help people understand more about ways to treat their bodies for a long, active and full-filling life. ”
Education/Certification:
Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at University of Puget Sound: Tacoma, WA -2003
Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Puget Sound: Tacoma, WA -2009
APTA Credentialed MVP Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency: 2009-2010
My Specialties: I treat mainly orthopaedic injuries and focus on Lower Extremity Biomechanics including Running and Gait evaluations as well as Post-Operative Rehabilitation including ACL/Rotator cuff repairs and foot/ankle dysfunction. A strong focus of manual techniques of the spine which I obtained in P.T school has helped me develop better skills for treating difficult spinal injuries.
Fun Facts: I ran Track 4 years at U. of Puget Sound and had the opportunity to coach mid-distance runners on a collegiate level for five years after graduating. Currently, I still enjoy running and being a part of the local running community. I try to get outside to take in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest any chance I get.
